6 weeks old today. we just adore this little guy and are so glad that he came to our home.

Katelyn loves her little brother, well that is an understatment, she is obsessed with her little brother! It is cute at times but a little much for me to handle, there are times when I wished she would leave him alone. She says to me quite frequently, "Mom, Briggs on Katelyn's lap" as she pats her leggies with her hands, and very demanding I might add! She is a big helper too! And no she is not going to bit him in that 2nd to last picture, she is just that excited to hold him, but is sure looks like does it! We are thrilled to have Briggs in our home, and love Katelyn too!

10 Days old

My friend Laura took these shots of Briggs when he was 10 days old. I think they turned out great, she is so good with newborns. After pooping and peeing on everything we finally got some great shots, thanks Laura!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT....

Katelyn got her first set of piggies, I know, I know time to celebrate! I guess the real shocker would be the fact that she sat still long enough for me to do her hair! She actually liked them and left them in for quit some time, I think she looks dang cute! I would love to do it again, but I am afraid they would be a disaster after a car ride, I mean how do you teach a 2 year old not to rest her head in her car seat, someday she will worry about her hair, but I just don't think we are quite there yet!

oh so SASSY!

Oh Katelyn is so sassy! She put these headbands on all by herself and then went outside and started to ride her bike. I grabbed the camera and this is what I got, a little bit of sas! She has been so fun lately I just had to post about her, we love our Katers! Have I ever mentioned I love having a GIRL, well I do! And I love that she is sassy and very much a girly girl! Today I put on a shirt that she has not seen before and she came into my room and said "Cute Mom"! Now how many 2 year olds notice their mothers clothing? She does and it made me laugh, she is so funny!

5 Years ago today...

I married the man of my dreams! He is the best Husband and Dad, we love him so much! He is my best friend, my eternal companion, my everything. He always can find a way to make me laugh and smile, he is so fun to be around! Our little Katelyn just adores him, and me too! He works so hard to support our family, honors his priesthood, fulfills his callings and is a great support to me in whatever I am trying to accomplish. When I look back on the last 5 years, though times have been tough, we have been through a lot together; bought our first home, traveled to Hawaii, Tennessee, and Arizona with the Boise State Football team, Sherman graduated college and now has started is masters degree, welcomed our little Katelyn into our home, Sherman got his first job teaching at Skyview High School and so much more. I can't wait to see what is next and can't wait to spend forever with my sweetheart! I love you Sherman!

Easter

We had a great Easter! We enjoyed the weekend with family, friends and especially eachother! Katelyn had a fun time at each Easter egg hunt, our ward had a primary one and then at Grandma's house. She looked darling in her Easter dress on Sunday and loved it too! She kept saying "katein's dress", and wanted to wear it over and over.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATELYN!!!!

Katelyn is such a fun little girl, she brings such light into our home, we love her! She loves babies, and pretends to be the "mommy", she rocks back and forth and bounces her babies up and down (so cute) and asks "you ok?", while patting their backs. She loves purses, dress up clothes and daddy! She loves to play, run and tickle anyone that is willing. She loves apple juice and "sammies" (hamburger, pbj, or subway) She now sleeps in her very own big girl bed! She still is very attached to her bottle (we are working on that). She loves her blanket, it is the cure all! She says "ease" (please) and "tank you" (thank you). She loves to go to her class at church. She loves to play outside and slide down the "wii" (her slide). She is so funny, I tell her "make mommy laugh" and she does something way silly, it is so cute! She is so ready for a baby to join our family. She folds her arms for pray and then says "amen". She makes the funniest faces and laughs at herself. She hates to brush her teeth unless she is using her dads tooth brush!! haha! She loves both Papas and Grandmas, and all of her cousins. We love spending time with her, she is our baby girl, and we love her so much! We couldn't be happier that she joined our family just two short years ago! We Love you Katers!
