So dang cold!

Last week it was -22 and with the wild chill it was -34! Schools were closed and we never left the house that day either. We are not really enjoying the cold. We would prefer to be playing outside in the sunny weather. I think I am ready to move somewhere sunny! But when we do go outside I bundle my poor kids up so much they get really bugged, but atleast they can try and stay warm. I don't let Briggs play out in the snow, he just cries at the window, but I do let Katelyn go out with friends on those not so freezing days. She loves to play with friends or her dad in the snow!
Although Briggs doesn't make it out to play in the snow, he still likes to where his snow clothes in the house or to the store. Those little bibs are so cute and tiny. You should see his little snow boots, so cute! I would love to let him play outside, but it is just too cold for this little guy. I can get sick at a drop of a hat, I don't want to risk it. Katelyn on the other hand does pretty well.

Mr. Independent...

Briggs has really been changing a ton lately. Growing up way to fast. Just within the last month or so he insists on feeding himself food that requires a spoon or fork. I really tried to discourage this because he makes a huge mess. I was content feeding him things like soup, fried eggs, cereal, and so on. Well he is determined to win that battle. Here is Briggs feeding himself taco soup at the table. He did a pretty good job, I must say. I still have a hard time letting go of that control. I guess my baby is not really a baby anymore.
This little man had been talking so much. Just so I remember at a later date I am going to list the words that he has learned to say:
Ball
Football
Touchdown
Down
Wait
Daddy
Mommy
Beth
Kendall (Beth's friend)
Johnny (cousin)
Mama (Grandma)
Papa (Grandpa)
Baby
Please
Thank you
Love you
Bite (we he is hungry)
Bath
Bed
Socks
Shoes
Hat
Dog
Toes
Nose
Eyes
Head
I know there is more but I can't think of them now, of course, right?
Oh and he still HATES nursery.
But he sure is a pleasure to have in our home.
we lOVE him!

Just being silly!!

Doctor Katelyn

Katelyn got a "doctor" kit for Christmas! She has a great time playing "doctor" on her little brother. Infact he loves it and usually begs her to play. Katelyn's Grandma Liz made this cute little doctor outfit! It is perfect for play time! Thanks Mom! She love it!

Bobcadette Dance Camp

Just last month Katelyn got to attend Bobcadette Dance Camp at Madison High School. She had so much fun. Monday -Wednesday was practice and then on Thrusday they preformed at Half time of the Varsity Boys basketball game. I do have the preformance on video, but that will have to be a post for later. She did so good and her little group was so cute! Katelyn's dance coaches were so nice and taught the girls a really cute dance!
