Christmas Morning!

We had such a great Christmas, filled with family and fun! Katleyn was so fun this year and loved opening presents and giving presents. She made so many funny faces and had such funny reactions to her gifts. It was so fun for Sherman and I to see that excitment on her face. She went from one gift to another jumping up and down, it was very cute. I have rarely seen her that excited, it makes giving so much fun. Here are a few pictures of Katelyn and her gifts.

Some of the latest...

Katelyn loved the Christmas Tree! She really enjoyed decorating and rearranging the ornaments, lucky for us only one was broken. Here are some pictures of her doing just that!

The Kiddo Tag!

Thank Alli!

Name Ten Things you love about the tagged child!
Oh how I LOVE this baby! (I had a hard time just picking one picture)

ONE- I love her personality! Katelyn is very social and happy to be around people. (she tends to get a little ruff with little ones, but just wants to PLAY)

TWO- I love her chubby cheeks! They have thinned down since she was younger (see picture above) but she still has them, I could kiss and kiss those cheeks. My sister Caroline could squeeze and squeeze then kiss those cheeks!

THREE- I love her laugh, it is contagious! So cute!

FOUR- I love that she loves everything girly! From painted toe nails to a purse on her shoulder she is a girly girl, love it!

FIVE- I love her soft side. She loves her babies and kisses them often. She also gives her Daddy and I kisses and hugs everyday. She might be a little wild at times, but she does have a soft side, she is very loving!

SIX- I love that she folds her arms for prayer, but we are still working on the no peaking thing!

SEVEN- I love how she wants to be so independent! She has to feed herself and lately she has to get herself dressed, and with NO help!!

EIGHT- I love it when she is in her jammies! There is nothing better than a snuggle baby in jammies, so cute!

NINE- I love that she sleeps through that night like a big girl! I love to see her in the morning, she shows so much excitement to see me, that is my favorite part of the day. I look forward to that big hug after a good night sleep!

TEN- And most of all, I LOVE that she LOVES me! No matter what she loves me and wants to be where ever I am, she is my little shadow all day, I love it (at times).

WE LOVE YOU KATELYN!

Linder Farms!

The COW TRAIN ride! This was Katelyn's favorite thing at Linder Farms. She road it three times and if we would have let her she might have stayed there all day. She was waving to everybody and even stuck her arm out to give any willing subject a high five. The last picture I caught with her arms in the air, she loved it and was very excited for each turn. Our trip was well worth it. There is nothing better for a mom then to see her child enjoy a new adventure, and that is what we got: hayride, straw bale maze, mini donuts, and of course the pumokin patch! We had a great time.

some of the latest...

and the neighbors thought they had privacy, actually they have a dog and Katelyn loves dogs. this is her new favorite thing to do, find the dog. but if the dog gets close she takes of runnin', pretty cute!

Katelyn stole some ladies chair at the Skyview football game, she had never sat so still in her life, so you can bet I let her sit there as long as possible.

Look at those blue eyes, and how can you resist those lips and cheeks! what a beauty!

Katelyn has been glaring at me a lot lately when she does not get her way, I caught her at the computer and she knew she was in trouble. this is the look I get when I say "KATELYN".

Katelyn found a new hiding place, she loves to help do the laundry, I think she just likes it when the hamper is empty so she can get in. She stands at the dryer and pushes the clothes in as I throw them on the door, she is my little helper. She also knows that when I fold her laundry it is her job to take them to her room and put them in her dresser. Smart!

I can't wait to get my new camera and another photoshop program! I have loved taking pictures of Katelyn and being able to edit them, it is becoming an addiction!!

who would have thought...

that we would get TWO football seasons out of the little jersey, did I mention it was little? Katelyn saw this in her closet right before we needed to leave for Sherman's game, needless to say she was determined that it would fit and that she was going to wear it. It was a little snug and almost a belly shirt, but she looked pretty cute. She got tons of stares, and I am sure people thought the them selves, "what kind of mother dresses their little girl in boy clothes"! Well, this mom does, she has been going to football games since she was born, and she always has looked so dang cute in that jersey, especially on Sherman's senior night (last home game). So I made sure that she looked not only like a girl, but a cute one at that. Her are some pictures of her at the game, and just for fun I threw in some of last year's season.

Katelyn with her dad right before the game started, we had a hard time getting her away from him and keeping her away from him through out the game. Notice the player in the back ground, that is a girl, yes! he has one girl on his team. Wierd!

Here is Katelyn during the game, clapping, playing and with her dad in a team huddle.

Here is a picture of Katelyn in Aug 2007, almost 6 months old. We were attending one of Sherm's fall camp scrimmages. Isn't she cute!! No hair!
Here is Katelyn and Sherman, this is his senior night. Katelyn and I got to go out on the field to be introduced and get a quick photo. She is about 9 months old here, Nov 2007. Still just as cute! Still no hair!
Here is Katelyn and I in Hawaii at Sherman's last game every as a bronco. She is about 10 months old here, Dec 2007. And still no hair!!

her new thing....

is to undress herself every morning, and then says "ba ba" for bath. This has been going on for the last couple of days, the first picture was the first time it happened and she tried to take it all off including a dirty diaper. I only got one picture before catching the dirty diaper and hauling her to the changing table. The next picture is what I have been seeing every morning since, infact she has been fighting me throughout each and every day to keep clothes on, now that she can take it off she thinks she can whenever and wherever. Oh Boy, the things she learns, everyday seems to be something different and fun! We love you Katelyn!

On the move...

Here is Katelyn at Sherman's football game, she loved crawling all over the bleachers, running with the other children and clapping for the wrong team. But some how I did catch some rather calm moments on camera.

Katelyn holding still for just a moment, long enough for a mommy-daughter shot. As you can see she was anxious to get movin' again. We had a good time and are looking forward to next week.

That time of year again...

We went to see Skyview High School (where Sherm teaches) play last Friday night. It was so fun to actually go to a game and have Sherman in the stands next to me! We had a good time eating burgers and watching the game, I think Katelyn enjoyed herself too!

Sherman coaches the South Junior High light weight football team. He is the offensive coordinator and loves it! They are 2-0 and are lookin' good, GO JAYHAWKS!!!

my little DIVA

I bought this cute new beanie for Katelyn, I found it online. I really want to learn how to make them, but we will see. She is so fun to doll up, I love having a little girly girl!! She loves all things girly, except anything that goes on her head, that is my challenge. I was very surprised that she kept this on long enough for some cute shots.
