Mr. Independent...

Briggs has really been changing a ton lately. Growing up way to fast. Just within the last month or so he insists on feeding himself food that requires a spoon or fork. I really tried to discourage this because he makes a huge mess. I was content feeding him things like soup, fried eggs, cereal, and so on. Well he is determined to win that battle. Here is Briggs feeding himself taco soup at the table. He did a pretty good job, I must say. I still have a hard time letting go of that control. I guess my baby is not really a baby anymore.
This little man had been talking so much. Just so I remember at a later date I am going to list the words that he has learned to say:
Ball
Football
Touchdown
Down
Wait
Daddy
Mommy
Beth
Kendall (Beth's friend)
Johnny (cousin)
Mama (Grandma)
Papa (Grandpa)
Baby
Please
Thank you
Love you
Bite (we he is hungry)
Bath
Bed
Socks
Shoes
Hat
Dog
Toes
Nose
Eyes
Head
I know there is more but I can't think of them now, of course, right?
Oh and he still HATES nursery.
But he sure is a pleasure to have in our home.
we lOVE him!

Just being silly!!

Doctor Katelyn

Katelyn got a "doctor" kit for Christmas! She has a great time playing "doctor" on her little brother. Infact he loves it and usually begs her to play. Katelyn's Grandma Liz made this cute little doctor outfit! It is perfect for play time! Thanks Mom! She love it!

Bobcadette Dance Camp

Just last month Katelyn got to attend Bobcadette Dance Camp at Madison High School. She had so much fun. Monday -Wednesday was practice and then on Thrusday they preformed at Half time of the Varsity Boys basketball game. I do have the preformance on video, but that will have to be a post for later. She did so good and her little group was so cute! Katelyn's dance coaches were so nice and taught the girls a really cute dance!

Christmas and more...

We LOVE the holidays....especially this year! This was our first Christmas not living near our families. So, we got to go visit our families and spend some quality time with all of them. Katelyn and Briggs were really fun this year...they understood more of what was going on. Especially Katelyn, she pretty much figured out all her gifts even before opening them, stinker! We attened my family party, which included sibling gift exchange, good food and games! We had a great time, like always! Then we enjoyed Christmas eve at the Blaser home, which included great food, scripture reading and pajamas for everyone! Traditions are fun, we also had a great time! On Christmas we spent time with both families again and opened presents! Then we got to talked to my brother, who is on a mission in Virginia. It was so fun talking to him! He is doing great, he is hitting the year mark later this month, time has flown by. We had a wonderful Christmas! We are especially thankful for our Savior, our families, and the gospel. We have been so blessed this past year and look forward to another great year!

This year has already been a big year for our family at church! Katelyn advanced from nursery into sunbeams! She did fabulous, just as we expected! She loves church and is already singing primary songs daily. She was sent home with a "read your scriptures daily" chart and a brand new pencil. She is so excited to mark off each day as we read. She has become our little reminder, what a good little girl she is becoming. We are proud of her! Briggs has joined the nursery class and guess what, so have I! Before he was old enough to go, he would beg to go. And now, of course he wants nothing to do with it. Infact, the first time I left him there, they brought him to me crying so hard he was almost throwing up. Well hopefully this will die down and soon we will be able to leave him there. I hope, I really want to attend RS and Sunday school with Sherman. Time will tell...

Briggs smiling BEFORE his first day in nursery! This would soon change, but for now he looks cute already for church!

Katelyn on her first day of Primary as a Sunbeam! Here she is also holding her new Scripture chart, just what our family needed!

Our HAPPY prechool going almost 4 year old! She is a pleasure to have around most of the time. We love our Katelyn!

Katelyn likes to put things in order...well I asked her to put her shoes away and she said, "Ok Mom, I will put them right by Dad's". She then lined Briggs' shoes right by hers. Pretty cute, but thanks Dad for the example....I just might be the only one in the house that really knows where my shoes go! IN THE CLOSET!

Just a few black mail photos of Briggs....in his sisters pink and purple princess bike helmet and his first encounter with mom's mascara! But still cute as ever! Oh and a picture of Briggs enjoying one of our many holiday treats, he mostly liked the frosting, as you can see!

Look at those big eyes, I could just kiss him all day! Oh wait, I do! Since we have returned home from our Christmas Vacation Briggs has started calling me "Meme" instead of "Mama"! While we were staying at my Mom's house Briggs called her "mama", so that would be only fitting to not call me "mama" since that now means grandma. Meme does sound pretty cute!

I could just eat him up!

I think I kiss those cheeks at least 100 times a day, I mean wouldn't you? I combed his hair and then told him to smile...and he did! I love my boy!

Stinker boy...

as katelyn would call him! The other night our family was watching a Christmas show, I stepped away to get jammies out of the dryer. I guess I left the dryer open. Just a few minutes later we noticed Briggs was missing...what in the world. The house was far to quiet...I new something was up. We called his name and no response, we looked around up stairs and no luck, I didn't panic yet, I knew he couldn't have gone far. That is when we heard a giggle. I headed towards the laundry room and this is what I found, a contagious little smile! I mean how in the world do you get mad at this little guy? He was so proud of his new found hide out! And yes, Katelyn tried to shut the door on him and run! Not so fast, and that is when the fun ended, but not before I snapped a few shots of this cute boy! Here are just a few...

I can never get a....

good picture of these 2! Here is a few pics of them in front of our bare Christmas tree. They are also sporting their new snow boots! Briggs loves his and wants to ware them at all times, even with his is just in a onesie! Pretty cute!

He smiles when sister isn't there to torment him!

Thanksgiving...

We went to Sherman's sisters house for Thanksgiving this year! Although it was a short trip, we had a great time! This kids love to play with their cousins! I did snap some shots of the kids before we left, but failed to take any while at Jamie's house. Thanks Jamie for being such a wonderful host!

Snow and a lot of it...

We have been getting a ton of snow in the last 2 weeks...if anyone really knows me they know that I HATE snow. It means bad roads, being cooped up inside, and cold cold weather. It was
-13 the other day. But Katelyn has really enjoyed playing outside with the other children. She is wearing last years snow clothes, she got new ones this year from her G-ma Ellen for Christmas! All bundled up and ready to play!
Striking her signature pose! Man I just love her! She has such a fun personality!

Briggs

Briggs love to play in his room...especially in and around his crib. He sqeezes in between the wall and his crib and hides until we come looking for him. He loves it...here are a few pictures of him doing just that.
