Katelyn's Birthday Party....

Katelyn turned 3 and is just as sassy as ever...we LOVE out Katelyn Girl!

9 MONTHS

Baby Briggs is 9 months old!!! I makes me so sad that he is growing up so fast, I can barely remember when he was teeny, although I am sad I have really enjoyed watching him grow and learn. He truely is a joy in our home. Katelyn tells me all of the time "I marry Briggs in the Temple"! Oh so cute, she really does LOVE her little brother. Here are a few things about Briggs:

• He is CRAWLING!!! Yay! He has waited so long for this, he has been determined to move for a very long time, and finally this past week he figured it out. It amazes me how babies learn, so cute!
• He can say, "ma ma ma ma" and "da da da da da"! Smart boy!
• He loves his mom, I feel like I am always holding that boy of mine, but secretly I LOVE that he LOVES me!!
• He just adores his big sister! He wants to be around her and playing with her toys.
• He has been sick several times in the short 9 months of his life. Way more than Katelyn ever was. Poor little guy. And just this morning he woke up with junk in his eyes and a runny nose, and last week he threw up (all night) for the first time. He has also had RSV and 2 ear infections.
• He is a very happy baby (when healthy) and loves people. Until they try to hold him and then he cries, unless he knows you the he is ready to play.
• He can clap and wave.
• And finally he has teeth. His 2 front choppers came early this month!!
• He goes crazy when he sees any sort of football, basketball or helmet. A sport boy for sure!

We love you Briggs!

Look who is 3....

that is right our little KATELYN turned three!

man we love our Katelyn! Here are a few things that we love about her:

• she is so funny, animated and dramatic.
• she loves her little brother so much, maybe even too much!
• she talks up a storm and never stops!
• she loves to play dress up, but then loves to be tom boyish too!
• she loves her dad, and calls him "mommy's husband" in public (yes it is her dad)
• she want to be a coach like her daddy!
• she loves to go to church and loves her teachers!
• we love her curly hair, it adds to her personality!
• she loves to play outside on her swingset or on her bike!
• she loves chicken nuggets, cheese burgers, apples, grapes, cheese/crackers, hot dogs and STEAK, ...just to name a few.
• she is so fun to have in our home.....we can't imagine life without this little girl!

Life.....

Katelyn told me to get my camera and then struck this pose, oh boy!

This little man loves any type of ball but he especially loves basketballs and footballs, I think we have an athlete on our hands and we are OK with that!!

These two just love each other so much. It is so fun for me to see them interact and play. Sometimes Katelyn tries to man handle him too much, but for the most part he loves his big sister!

Bath Time

Bath time comes quit often at our house. In fact it is a daily activity of Katelyn's. And when I say activity I mean it, she loves that bath. She would rather take a bath then play with toys or friends. I guess that is a good thing, right? Briggs had grown to love the bath too. He really enjoys being in there with his big sister, they have such a good time.

my baby is growing up...

...so it really has hit me that Briggs is closer to being 1 year old than he is to a newborn. I am kind of sad about it. He has had a lot of first this week that are fun, here are a few of them.

• Clapping for Uncle Mark during his basketball game
• eating a butter and jam half sandwhich (he eats every last bit)
• eating yogurt melts like crazy (he loves them and so does Katelyn)
• trying so hard to crawl, he rocks back and forth a couple of times on his hands and knees.
• fighting over things with me and Katelyn. (remote, her sippy cup and whatever else he can get his hands on)
• has has become very determined and strong willed.
• but through it all he is still smiling like crazy, gums and all!.

I can't believe where the time has gone (7 1/2 months)...we love having Briggs as part of our family.

my kids....

Well the verdict is in....we have a Bronco! This jersey was made for Katelyn when Sherman was part of the BSU Football team a couple of years ago, she wore it for his Senior year. I will post pictures of her soon. When ever Briggs gets a hold of this little football (thanks Joanna) he doesn't want to let it go, infact the tips of his fingers turn white due to the fact that he is holding on so tight, cute. Well his dad that it was pretty cool! Sherman is already (and has been for a while) trying to figure out what position he will play: quarterback, linebacker or tightend? I guess we will have to wait and see. Until then we will just enjoy our little baby football player, isn't he cute?

Katelyn will be starting gymnastics on Feb. 2nd, and oh boy is she thrilled! She keeps asking me when it is time to go to "nastics". I have to remind her that we have a couple more days. She got to pick out her outfit, I am not sure if it is a gymnastics outfit or what, but it is pretty dang cute and will have to do! Here are some shots of our little gymnast!

Katelyn got this Fire Car for Christmas, it has been a big hit for both of the kids! Katelyn loves to have her brother ride with her (under close supervision), and Briggs enjoys it too!

Elder Beus

My little brother Doug entered the MTC today! We love him and are so proud he made the decision to serve the Lord. He is a great example to us all! We love you Elder Beus!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. Lots of food, fun and especially family! We are so grateful for our Savior and the love he has for us. We love this time of year. We hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year. We are excited to see what 2010 brings the Blaser Family!
